MAINTENANCE NOTE: HEAVY DUTY INTAKE CLEANING IS MANDATORY! DUE TO THE SEAT PROBLEMS KNOWN WITH CHRYSLER ENGINES, WHEN YOUR OLD ENGINE ENCOUNTERS PROBLEMS, METAL FRAGMENTS WILL MAKE THEIR WAY INTO YOUR INTAKE MANIFOLD. INTAKE MANIFOLDS ARE USUALLY OILY AND THE METAL FRAGMENTS WILL STICK TO THE WALLS OF THE INTAKE. UPON INSTALLATION OF THE NEW ENGINE, IF THE INTAKE IS NOT CLEAN VERY THOROUGHLY, THE SMALL METAL FRAGMENTS WILL MAKE THEIR WAY INTO THE NEW ENGINE ON TOP OF THE NEW PISTON AND CAUSE SCRATCHES AND HEAVY GOUGING. IF THIS IS TO BE FOUND, WARRANTY WILL BE VOID DUE TO IMPROPER CLEANING.
